It will not be necessary, how- ever, to discuss the proceedings in the Senate since it was the House substitute bill which was finally enacted into law.

It was on March 27th in the House of Eepresentatives that "Mr Holbrook, from [the] Committee on Text-Books reported relative to House files Nos.

27, 32, 50, 62, 65, 68, 102, 121, 140, 184, 200, 225, 258, 298, 321, 364, 380, 382 and 390, recommending substitute for them to pass, and that the bills be indefinitely postponed.

A substitute bill proposed by the minority of the committee was also submitted.

The matter was then made a special order for Tuesday, April 1st.
